Of 17 injured‚ four are said to be in critical condition.
MAHENDRANAGAR: A woman died while a passenger bus she was travelling on met with an accident in Ramshikharjhala of Kailali on Friday morning.
As many as 17 others have been injured in the accident at around 4 am this morning along the East West Highway. Of them, four are said to be in critical condition.
Mira Chand of Hatairaj-1, Baitadi died while the bus (Na 4 Kha 1503) en route to Baitadi from Kathmandu met with the accident, according to Area Traffic Police Office, Attariya.
The seriously injured Prem Thapa, Surendra Bhandari, Laxmi Khadka and Nawaraj Khadka have been referred to Bareli of India for further treatment. Thapa is the bus driver.
Other 13 are undergoing treatment at Ghodaghodi Hospital, Sukkhad, Padma Hospital and Sewa Nursing Hospital in Attariya.
SP Surya Prasad Padhyaya of Traffice Police Office saida preliminary investigation acknowledged to high speed as cause behind the accident.
