Preity Zinta has landed in legal trouble in connection with a cheque bouncing case and a non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued against her by the local metropolitan magistrate’s court at Andheri.
The case was filed by Preity’s 2013 release Ishkq In Paris' dialogue writer Abbas Tyrewala, after a cheque of Rs. 18.9 lakh bounced. During the last hearing, the court had imposed a fine of Rs. 5000 on the actress for non-appearance and because she failed to turn up at the court on Thursday, a non-bailable arrest warrant was issued.
Preity’s lawyer Ratneshwar Jha has confirmed the news and has revealed that his client is presently out of the country and that they will move the court to cancel the warrant or will move the Bombay High Court and file a writ.
